Sixteen and a half seconds, down to two and a half.
Mrs. Clean Pittsburgh has been cleaning homes across two offices for twenty eight years. Their website was on WordPress and it took sixteen and a half seconds to show its main content on a phone. We rebuilt it in Astro, and wired the estimate form straight into the software they run their bookings on.
Built ahead of time, not while you wait
Sixteen and a half seconds, down to two and a half
The old WordPress site averaged 16.6 seconds to show its main content on a phone across fifteen recorded measurements between May and July, so that was its normal behavior rather than one unlucky test. The Astro rebuild does it in 2.6 seconds under the same throttled mobile conditions. Both figures measured on a slow connection, not a desktop on office internet.
Two hundred and twelve pages, generated ahead of time
Astro builds every page before anybody asks for it, so the server hands over a finished document instead of assembling one on request. Forty six articles, six service pages, and every service area, all static.
Accessibility 73 to 90, search readiness 85 to 100
Measured with the same tool before and after. Layout stability was already good and stayed good, so nothing on the page jumps around while it loads.
The form fills in the booking system
Straight into MaidCentral, with nobody rekeying it
A price request submitted on the website is written directly into MaidCentral, the platform Mrs. Clean runs their bookings on. It arrives as a record rather than as an email somebody has to copy across, which is what any good website should do and what theirs now does.
Thirty six details travel with every lead
The page the customer was reading when they asked for a price, the search that brought them, how many visits it took, the device they were on, and which of the two offices covers their ZIP code. All captured without asking the customer a single extra question.
Where a lead came from, kept with the lead
First contact and the visit that produced the booking are recorded separately, because they are frequently different, and the gap between them is usually where an advertising budget is being misread.
Eighty ZIP codes, two offices
Every neighborhood, written out
Eighty ZIP codes across Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties, listed so a customer can tell in one look whether Mrs. Clean comes to them, instead of filling in a form to find out.
The site knows which office covers you
Monroeville to the east and Monongahela to the south. A request routes to the right branch on its own, using the ZIP code the customer already typed.
Six services, each on its own page
Recurring cleaning, deep clean, move in and move out, post construction, commercial, and microbic CLEAN. Each one its own page, so each one can be found on its own terms.
A faster site is nice. A connected one shows up in the calendar.
We rebuilt the site and wired it into the software the business already ran on, so a price request becomes a booking record without anybody retyping it. We would be glad to look at yours.

Mrs. Clean Pittsburgh has cleaned homes across two offices for twenty eight years. Their WordPress site took 16.6 seconds to show its main content on a phone, measured across fifteen recorded samples. We rebuilt it in Astro: 212 pages, statically built, main content in 2.6 seconds, and every price request written straight into MaidCentral with 36 details attached so nobody has to rekey a lead.
Mrs. Clean Pittsburgh has been cleaning homes in southwestern Pennsylvania since 1998, working out of two offices in Monroeville and Monongahela and covering eighty ZIP codes across Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
Their website was on WordPress, and on a phone it took sixteen and a half seconds to show its main content. That is not a guess and it is not one bad test: it is the average of fifteen measurements recorded between May and July 2026.
What we changed
We rebuilt the site in Astro, a framework that generates every page ahead of time rather than assembling it while the visitor waits. Two hundred and twelve pages, forty six articles, six service pages, and every service area. Main content now appears in 2.6 seconds under the same throttled mobile conditions. Accessibility moved from 73 to 90 and search engine readiness from 85 to 100.
The URL structure was preserved through the migration, so the pages that already ranked kept their addresses.
The part that matters more than the speed
The estimate form on the new site writes directly into MaidCentral, the software Mrs. Clean runs their bookings on. A price request becomes a record in their system, automatically, carrying thirty six details: the page the customer was reading, the search that brought them, the number of visits it took, and which of the two offices covers their ZIP code.
None of that is clever. It is what any good website should do. It is simply what theirs now does, and it means nobody spends their morning copying leads from an inbox into another system.
What we would tell anybody considering the same
If your site is slow on a phone, measure before you rebuild. The framework is often not the whole story: a light page can still be held up by everything loaded on top of it, and knowing which of the two you are dealing with is the difference between a rebuild that helps and one that does not.
